Our story
A rug wash plant, not a van with a machine
Mr. Carpet Cleaning started in 2023 in a Passaic garage with one dusting rack and a hose. Three years later we run a full wash plant with a climate-controlled drying room, and the same family answers the phone.
Most cleaners treat a rug like carpet that happens to be loose. It is not. A hand-knotted rug has a cotton foundation, wool or silk pile and dyes that behave differently in every bath. That is why our Oriental rug cleaning is done by hand, in cold water, with dye testing on every piece.
Our technicians hold IICRC certifications in rug cleaning, textile identification, upholstery and odor control. We are licensed and insured, and we send a certificate of insurance to building management before any commercial job.
If a stain will not come out, we say so before we start rather than after we cash the check. That is the whole business model.
