Area Rug Cleaning in New Jersey
Your area rug catches everything a floor does, but it holds onto it. We take rugs back to our Passaic wash plant, dust out the dry soil that vacuuming never reaches, then hand-wash with pH-correct solutions matched to the fiber.

Our process
How we clean it
- 1
Inspection & dye test
We photograph pre-existing wear, test dyes for bleed risk and note stains that need separate treatment.
- 2
Dry soil removal
Rugs are dusted to release the pounds of grit trapped in the foundation.
- 3
Immersion wash
A full submersion bath with fiber-specific detergent lifts soil, odor and residue.
- 4
Rinse, dry, groom
Rugs are rinsed clean, dried flat in a climate room, then groomed and wrapped for delivery.

Do you clean rugs in my home?
For most area rugs, no. In-home cleaning cannot remove dry soil from the foundation. We pick up, wash at our plant and deliver back at no extra charge.
How long does area rug cleaning take?
Most rugs are back within 5 to 7 business days. Heavily soiled or hand-knotted pieces can take up to 10 days.
Will the colors bleed?
We dye-test before washing and use a cold-water process with dye-stabilizing rinses on any rug that shows risk.

Oriental & Persian Rug Cleaning
Hand-knotted rugs are textiles first and floor coverings second. Silk highlights, vegetable dyes and cotton foundations all react differently to water, so every Persian, Turkish, Chinese and Caucasian rug we take in gets an individual wash plan.

Wool is forgiving until it meets high-alkaline detergent or hot water. Then it shrinks, yellows and loses its natural lanolin. Our wool wash stays under pH 8 and under 100°F, which is why wool rugs come back soft instead of crunchy.

Urine odor lives in the crystals left behind after the liquid evaporates, and they sit in the backing and pad, not the surface. Masking sprays do nothing. We locate contamination with a UV inspection and flush the source.

"Cream sectional, toddler, you can imagine. They cleaned every cushion on both sides and it dried by dinner. Careful work on all six seats."
