"They picked up my grandmother's Tabriz on a Tuesday and had it back in nine days. The reds came back. I honestly thought that rug was just dark now."

Wool & Shag Rug Cleaning in New Jersey
Wool is forgiving until it meets high-alkaline detergent or hot water. Then it shrinks, yellows and loses its natural lanolin. Our wool wash stays under pH 8 and under 100°F, which is why wool rugs come back soft instead of crunchy.

Our process
How we clean it
- 1
Pile analysis
We measure pile depth and density to set dusting and drying times.
- 2
Deep dusting
Shag rugs hide extraordinary amounts of grit at the base of the pile.
- 3
Controlled wash
Cool water and wool detergent protect lanolin and dye stability.
- 4
Re-fluff & dry
Pile is separated during drying so shag returns full instead of matted.

Will my wool rug shrink?
Not with a controlled wash. Shrinkage happens from hot water and aggressive agitation, both of which we avoid.
Can you clean jute or sisal?
Yes, with a low-moisture method. Natural plant fibers brown when over-wetted, so they are never immersion washed.
Do shag rugs take longer?
Shag over two inches needs extra dusting and drying time, so we usually add a day to the turnaround.

Area Rug Cleaning
Your area rug catches everything a floor does, but it holds onto it. We take rugs back to our Passaic wash plant, dust out the dry soil that vacuuming never reaches, then hand-wash with pH-correct solutions matched to the fiber.

Hand-knotted rugs are textiles first and floor coverings second. Silk highlights, vegetable dyes and cotton foundations all react differently to water, so every Persian, Turkish, Chinese and Caucasian rug we take in gets an individual wash plan.

Wall-to-wall carpet is cleaned in your home with truck-mounted hot water extraction. Traffic lanes get a pre-spray and agitation pass first, so the soil is already suspended before the wand touches it.

"Cream sectional, toddler, you can imagine. They cleaned every cushion on both sides and it dried by dinner. Careful work on all six seats."
